Hello Fresh Review

I feel like I was late to the concept of Hello Fresh. Fortunately, I received an offer of a free week of meals in my last Fab Fit Fun box and am now wondering what took me so long.  If you are not familiar with Hello Fresh, it is a weekly subscription service that provides the choice of 3-5 recipes and delivers each of the meals  ingredients to your door. Although I love to cook, I often struggle with menu planning, making sure i have the correct ingredients and getting everything prepped.. Hello Fresh delivers each recipe in a box with all of the ingredients (minus olive oil and butter) that you will need. Meals can be chosen for 2 or 4 individuals and are a perfect portion size. Hello Fresh box As you choose your meals for the week, Hello Fresh provides a list of possible allergens which is helpful for those with food allergies. Subscribers have the option of a classic box which includes meat, fish and chicken or the veggie box.  There have been a few instances where wheat was included in the recipe but I am able to swap out the ingredients to make the recipe gluten free. I have been pleased that there have been recipes that came gluten free. A few of our favorites have included Steak Au Poivre with Cheesy Hesselbeck Potatoes, Creamed Kale and Shallot-Peppercorn Sauce and Coconut-Crusted Chicken Fingers with Garlic Green Beans and Spiced Sweet Potato Fries. Hello Fresh Meal All of the ingredient have been of high quality, fresh and delivered  via Fed Ex promptly in a box with ice. Review of Hello Fresh subscription service If you find yourself often making the same meals on rotation, Hello Fresh will introduce you to new recipes that are tasteful and healthy. For those of you who haven’t tried Hello Fresh, I will be glad to offer you a free week of meals. Please leave your email in the comments below and I will send you a link.

Have you tried Hello Fresh?

These meal planning services are such a great idea, especially for people who are busy during the week! (I also feel like it would help with portion control… sometimes it’s hard to cook for just 2 people.) I haven’t taken part in a service like this but would be open to trying it. What is the pricing like on this?

I wondered the same thing (cost)!

It really is helpful for 2 people and it’s nice to be reminded of what a portion really does look like. The prices range from 59.99 a week for 3 complete meals for 2 people for a veggie box to 69.99 for 3 meals for two for a classic box (meat, fish). I will be glad to send you a code to try it. Just let me know.

That looks so good. My problem is various dietary needs. 2 vegetarian and 2 hard core carnivores and then there’s me. Not sure if everyone could agree on one meal. But wow it looks restaurant quality!

It really is restaurant quality but I can see where it would be difficult with everyone having a different need. It sounds like cooking in is interesting at your house!

I tried out Hello Fresh as I had a voucher and although the meals and recipies were great the delivery was not so good, they had my address wrong and so my box went back to the depot, it was only because my neighbour worked there and saw that it contained food that I got it the next day. When I contacted Hello Fresh about this they basically ignored me! Glad your experience was a better one!

I’ve never heard of Hello Fresh, but I may have to come back to this the next time I’m pregnant!

This looks so amazing! I don’t eat much meat, but I love rotating out a ton of different veggies and fish. My husband LOVES all meats. I have never tried a food delivery program, but it is a great idea!

As I said, I prolonged trying it because I didn’t think it would be that great. We’ve had fish at least once each week and next week I’m doing a veggie box. I love that my husband has tried veggies he wouldn’t normally try if I had just suggested them.

I have heard of these meal services, but never Hello Fresh! I love the idea of having meals delivered straight to me. It seems so convenient!

It’s been better than I expected. We only get 3 meals a week but I automatically have 3 meals planned for the week – it’s especially nice to have all of the ingredients right in the box.

This sounds amazing. I love cooking, but I loathe grocery shopping. Also, sometimes I feel like I make the same things over and over and over. My kids joke that I make chicken-something every day. Haha.

I’m like you Shelly. I don’t mind the cooking at all if all of the groceries are there but I’m done by the time I come back from the grocery (and then want to go out to eat). Thank God for Chicken!!!

I did HelloFresh for two months. At first I was pretty happy with it, although I couldn’t always get my kids (or husband!) to eat it. Then, I got two boxes with rotten food in them, in a row. One I could look past, but when it happened again the second week I cancelled the subscription.

I might try another meal service because I loved the convenience of it!

Oh my gosh Meagan. I can’t believe you received rotten food! That’s horrible. I did receive some herbs that weren’t the greatest once but nothing like your experience. This is the change you take but so far we have been lucky (but I do have to pause it sometimes because I can’t eat what they have). Sorry for the delay in responding, something really went wrong her. Let me know if you try another service – there are more out there.

What a great idea and oh my gosh, it looks delicious!

I’ve never had a bad meal from Hello Fresh! Sorry about the delay in commenting – not sure what happened here.
