Our Stay At The Cromwell – Las Vegas
It’s hard to believe but it has been a month since our anniversary trip to The Cromwell Hotel in Las Vegas.
I feel I always have to say I never expected to like Las Vegas and put off going until five years ago. After the first trip where we stayed at the Bellagio, I was hooked. I previously shared our stay over Thanksgiving at The Aria and this trip we knew we wanted to try a different hotel.
The Cromwell is the first boutique hotel located on the strip in Las Vegas. Naturally, as I love boutique hotels, I was excited to see the difference between the Cromwell and the larger resorts.
Located across from the Bellagio and Caesars Palace, The Cromwell is perfectly located on the strip and is accessible to all the major venues and attractions. We immediately felt the difference between the larger resorts and a boutique hotel as we were greeted at our car by Joseph our bellman who immediately walked us to the front desk. Unlike many of the larger resorts, we did not have to walk through the casino and there was no line to check in.
Joseph immediately took us to our room on the eighth floor and helped us to get oriented. A positive in most boutique hotels is that guests do receive personalized service and The Cromwell did not fail in customer service.
Each of the 188 rooms are decorated in upscale decor with a parisian theme and I stated I felt like a star on stage each time I walked out into the hallway.
We stayed in a Luxury King Room with a Strip View.
From our window, we were able to see the fountains of the Bellagio (right corner), Paris Hotel and the crowd on the strip.
Each of the rooms feel like a Parisian themed apartment with beatuiful dark hardwood floors and trunk styled furniture. Our room had a couch and a chair for separate seating. Everything from the mattress on the bed to the couch was comfortable.
Of course, James loved the 55 inch tv.
The room had a beautiful armoire which held all of my clothes and a few of his.
Each room also has a separate make up table which makes getting ready to go out extremely easy.
In addition to the traditional hair dryer, there was also a hair straightener.
Just in case, a girl forgets some hair product or sunscreen, there are Muk product options – for a fee of course. I did not need to utilize any of these but did enjoy the shampoo, soap and lotion.
As for the bathroom, it was fantastic.
The rainshower head and seat made it very difficult to want to get out of the shower. The shower is decorated with alternating french and english verses.
Throughout the day and night, guests are able to access coffee and tea service that is located outside of the elevators on the main lobby. The only restaurant located at The Cromwell is Giada’s. Although we did not eat at the restaurant, we did have room service for breakfast with caprese frittatas and some of the best french press coffee I have had. It was truly a great breakfast.
We also enjoyed fantastic cocktails each night at the bar Bound .
As it was the weekend, the hotel was booked but it did not feel crowded. It was always a simple walk through the casino to get out of the hotel. We did not have the opportunity to go to Drai’s Beach Club or Night Club which is located on top of the building but the view looks absolutely stunning in photographs. As The Cromwell is a Caesars’ property, guests are also able to utilize the pools at other Caesars’ properties such as Caesars, The Flamingo and Paris.
Many reviewers have complained about staying on the seventh or eighth floor due to noise from the nightclub but I have to say it did not bother us at all. If needed, the hotel does provide ear plugs.
The Cromwell was a perfect place to stay for our anniversary and to end our run of trips to Las Vegas. If you are looking for individualized attention in a city that never sleeps, you will certainly find it at The Cromwell.
Have you traveled to Las Vegas? Would you try The Cromwell?

Things change so often in Vegas that there is always something new. The Cromwell is only two years old and was a great place to stay.
