March Ipsy Glam Bag!

I’ve subscribe to Ipsy for over a year now. Although I continue to love getting a package in the mail each month, I was not happy with my March Ipsy Glam Bag. 

My bag consisted of five items which included:

Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Creme

NYX Cosmetics Lipstick

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter

Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow

Dr. Brandt Skin No More anti-aging mattefiying lotion

Sadly, regardless of how many times I take the test to share that I don’t want lipstick or lipgloss, I continue to receive it. This month’s color is a bright pink (the picture above dulls the color) and I look ridiculous in the color. It doesn’t go with my color scheme and I’ve stated multiple times I don’t want lipstick.

Although I have requested eyeshadow, this month’s color is dark and has a shimmer to it that would probably begin to accent the wrinkles I am trying to hide.

The other items are things I may eventually use but not something I am ready to rip open and try.

For several months I have been considering cancelling my subscription. However, just as I was getting ready to, I would receive a great bag and continue. This is now two months in a row (I didn’t even share last month) that I have been unhappy with my bag. Just as occurred with Birchbox, I feel like I am not getting heard and that I am receiving duplicates of things from the past.  My friend Lindsay  was beginning to feel the same way and when we compared notes – she wasn’t even sure what some of her items were at first. After consideration and validation, I’ve officially cancelled this subscription.

Ten dollars a month is not a bad deal if you are receiving items that you love and can use. However, I am also attempting to grow my practice and do not need to spend unnecessary money. I will continue receiving my FabFitFun box as I feel I get more than the money I pay and totally enjoy each box.

Sorry Ipsy, it was nice while it lasted but I need more than you can give me!
