Love Everyday…… Currently
My December posting plans have already not gone as planned and I felt it was a perfect time to do a currently post and join in with Anne and Christine for the first Love Everyday link-up.
Planning a Christmas brunch on Saturday for our girls night group. I’m planning to make a crustless quiche but also found some new recipes I want to try. Reminding myself not to overdo and simply have fun.
Enjoying all of my Christmas decorations. Although I have decorated in some form over the last two years, this is the first year since my Mom and Nanny’s death that I wanted to decorate. I have a slight addiction to Christmas Trees (four this year) and I love the Santas that I collected. The holidays can be very difficult after the death of loved ones but in time the enjoyment can come back in some form.
Feeling overwhelmed and sad as I end this college semester of teaching. I’ve had to fail my first student and along with that comes paperwork and extra time I had not planned to give. This semester of teaching has taught me many lessons that I will eventually put into words.
Reading very little other than magazines (and not doing that very often). I haven’t had time to get into any books lately and I always miss the feeling of waiting to find out what is going to happen next in a great story.
Returning to a workout routine after having none for a few weeks. I’m going to alternate between Piyo and cardio. Thinking I may want to consider a return to Pure Barre. If only I were brave enough to try CrossFit.
Preparing for changes again in my routine. My counseling practice is growing and in January I will add more hours. As a result, I am taking a leave of absence from teaching. I’m thankful to see my practice grow.
Saddened by the news in the world. I find myself constantly searching out positive stories. I remind you that the world is not evil and bad.
Wearing my new Ralph Lauren knee high boots. I loved the style so much that I have it in brown and black. Knee high boots are truly one of my favorite things about the Fall and Winter.
Loving on my oldest cat Sasha. As I write this post, she is pushed up next to me on the couch. She is very loving cat but doesn’t like to be held. Love occurs on her terms which usually involves body slams and head butts for belly rubs.
Looking forward to having a few long weekends during the holidays. I am in need of a few days of having nowhere to be at a certain time.
What is going on in your life currently?

Thank you for linking up with us! I have 2 pairs of Ralph Lauren knee high bop opts as well….in blackened brown for the same reason as you. I find something I love I want it in all the colors; and besides fall and winter scream for knee high boots! Congrats on your growing practice; I know you make a positive impact on so many people whether it’s in counseling or a classroom ( or like me in Blogland!)
I love the idea of this link up. I believe we all get too caught up in our “planned” posts that we forget to take stock in our daily life. Thank you for the wishes. I’m on a journey with my career and it’s going places I would have never planned 10 years ago.
So sorry you had to fail somebody! I’m sure that’s so tough.
I think it’s great that your practice is growing! You inspire me! I think a Christmas brunch sounds like a blast! Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Can’t go wrong with Ralph Lauren boots. I’ve been feeling saddened too. Congrats on your growing practice!
Congratulations on your growing practice!
I loved this post! I understand the sadness of not having time to dive into a new book. What’s else is going on with me? Well, I’m still gearing up for the two weeks of in-laws. And I signed up to be a Mary Kay Consultant at the end of last month. I just had my first party on Tuesday and I’ve gotten appoints with some of their referrals. It’s every exciting!
