I agree with her that I love these types of posts as they are a great way to introduce yourself to new readers. For those of you who are journal writers, I also want point out that a little Q and A can be a wonderful journal exercise. Now for the questions Aimee tagged me in1. What is your favorite quality about yourself? I am loyal to those that I love and care about. 2. Briefly explain the name of your blog.I use the analogy of our lives being like puzzle pieces. When there is a death in your life, it can feel like your life has fallen apart. The name of this blog “How to Make a Life” was chosen as a way to describe my grief journey after my Mom’s (and then Nanny’s) death in February and June 2013. My hope is to help others explore all of the pieces which make up their life. 3. What is your favorite thing about the city or state that you live in? There are many wonderful things about Lexington and Central Kentucky but my favorite has to be the beauty of the land – the greenery and the horse farms. Flying into and out of Bluegrass Field is one of the most beautiful sites you will every see. This photograph was taken two weeks ago as we left for our vacation.
4. What is the best book you’ve read recently?Although I read several books over vacation – my favorite book that I think everyone should read is Sun Monk Kidd’s The Invention of Wings. I will follow that with Gillian Flynn’s Dark Places. 5. What made you start blogging? My blog is an extension of e-mails I shared with a close group of friends when my Mom was sick. I felt it was important to share the grief journey and perspective from a trained professionals point of view. 6. What is something you think you are really good at? I am good with connecting with all people. 7. What is your dream job? I would love to be a published author or screenwriter. 8. What time of day do you feel most creative? I am a morning person and am my most productive and creative when I get up early.9. What food could you eat every day and never get tired of? I absolutely love salmon – there have been times when I have had it with breakfast, lunch and dinner. 10. Name something you would like to accomplish in the next year My goal is multi faceted I desire to improve my blog, increase readership, improve written and photography content and connect more with others.
