My close friends and husband will laugh when they read that I do not feel organized anymore. I’m the one who likes to color code my files, clothes and has a place for everything in my kitchen However, one of the side effects of my grief over the past two years (and the fact I was not working full time) is that I have become lax in having organization. My life hasn’t needed to be as organized as it used to be and in the midst of everything else I was doing, it did not take a priority. As we move into August, I am faced with a life that is going to need more organization and planning in many ways. I will return to teaching at the end of the month, new opportunities have been given to me for part time and contract work (more on that to come) and I am finding that I may never have the typical 9-5 work life I once had. (This brings about a great amount of flexibility but it is up to me in regards to organizing my time). Today I’m reconnecting with the Weekly Wishes link up. I need to outwardly hold myself accountable as I begin to organize my life in regards to my multiple professional roles, personal goals such as improving my fitness and health and taking my blog to the next level in regards to design and writing. Although I do not recommend scheduling every moment of life, I also know that in order for me (and most individuals) to maintain a healthy Work/Life balance, I need to take some time to reevaluate my time and prioritize what I am going to do and when.
