8 Things Every Happy Woman Should Have
Last weekend, I came across this post from Emily at Cupcakes and Cashmere. As we are preparing for a new year (and preparing resolutions and reviewing where we are in life), I felt like it would be a great idea to share my own.
A Go To Drink:
My choice will depend upon where I’m at. Vodka martini (Chopin Vodka) with a twist of lemon. As it is hard to find in restaurants, at home it’s Old 502 Bourbon Barrel Red. Otherwise, I love a good glass of Pinot Noir.A Go To Karaoke Song:
This girl does not do Karaoke! However, I think I do a great Defying Gravity from Wicked (I do both parts) In the shower and my car I often pretend to be Martina McBride (any of her anthem ballads) and Katy Perry (California Girls).A Hairstylist They Love:
Michelle and I began our love affair almost 13 years ago. She’s taken me blonde, red and decided my natural dark hair is not good for my complexion. “That’s why God made hair stylists!” We’ve gone shoulder length once only to realize that WILL not happen again. (She would be giddy to take me shorter). I’ve spent hundreds of hours in her chair and loved every minute. She went on early maternity leave and I went over 16 weeks without a hair cut (I wore ponytails ALOT). She’s a keeper and we plan on being old ladies in the nursing home together.A Uniform:
I have multiple careers and my wardrobe has begun to reflect the different aspects.- White House/Black Market is my go to store for casual and professional clothes. Black goes with everything!
- Bag: Coach and most recently Kate Spade
- Shoes: Heels when meeting with clients, flats and riding boots when teaching on campus
- Jewelry: Movado watch, wedding rings, Tiffany Elsa Peretti Teardrop necklace, bracelet and earrings (along with my Pandora bracelet)
- I should be honest and acknowledge that I truly do wish I could wear yoga pants everywhere!

So fun to read your list!!!! I love Vodka too 😉
I have my husband to thank for introducing me to Vodka. This was a fun list to create.
I truly agree. I would just change a drink for a regular relaxation practice- preferably meditation everyday:-)
Have a great weekend!

Mira, I’m a big believer in a relaxation practice and I’m a fan of meditation. Thanks for stopping by!
AMEN to all of this!! ESP a healthy sense of self. such a GREAT post my dear! my go-to drink is a fuzzy navel, or an excellent glass of pinot grigiot. 😉
I used to love a fuzzy navel – haven’t had one in awhile. This post was fun to do. As I said, it’s the little things we need to know about.
This is a great list. You’ve inspired me. I’m going to work on my own list. I have a couple more items to add – like a book that lifts her spirits no matter what she’s going through. For me, that book is Marianne Williamson’s A Woman’s Worth. I’ll send you a link when it’s up on my site.
