There's Not Enough Time | Self Care Saturday
This is the day of the week that I regularly share tips and suggestions for daily self care. I love writing these posts and sharing with others ideas which may help make life a little better. However, today I’m sharing that There’s Not Enough time for me to complete a post.
I’ve shared that my month has been busy and as a result my writing has had to take a back seat. Yes, I could have stayed up late last night compiling a post but that defeats the topic of self care. Instead, I ate a late dinner, watched a little tv (yes, I watched some of the Bruce Jenner interview) and I went to bed after reading a magazine.
I could have woke up early to compile a longer post but I’m going to meet a friend for a long overdue breakfast. There’s Not Enough time today and I am triaging what is important.
So for today’s self care post, I ask you to review your own life and see if there’s not enough time to do things on your to do list. There are things in our life that we want to do but that aren’t that necessary. The world doesn’t stop when we aren’t able to do it all.
Today I am taking my own advice and giving myself permission to not post as I would like.
When there’s time in your life, I encourage you to enjoy some past Self Care Saturday posts.
Happy Weekend!

Good for you! I think this is awesome. Self-care is sooo important and one of the big things that many (including myself) tend to put last or on the back burner. I made a promise to myself that this year, I was going to make self-care a priority.
I love your advice. And adhere to it myself more often than I used to – loving it! Hope you are having fun.
Enjoy your me time 🙂
So happy I found your blog. I love that you write about “real life” but stay positive, too. I feel called to do that in my blog as well (amidst posts on my love for fashion/travel), but find that many readers often don’t understand why I talk about depression, the hard stuff in marriage and parental challenges. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for your writing. I enjoy your content!

Jen, I’m so glad we have connected. I feel we have to write about what is meaningful to each of us and not necessarily what our readers think we should be writing about. I find that by writing about “the real life” that I actually find more readers who are grateful for it. It’s important that we practice self care, the good, the bad and ugly. Stay true to who you are.
