Favorite Paleo and Gluten Free Blogs
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with a severe gluten allergy. Maintaining a gluten free (and mostly dairy free) diet has changed my life. Sadly, over the winter months, I have found myself in a cooking rut where I basically cook the same recipes or we go out to eat. As I continue to focus upon finding ways to thrive, my goal is to return to finding new recipes which are healthy and easy to make.
Today I wanted to share a few of my favorite gluten free blogs that I feel you will enjoy whether you are following a gluten free/paleo diet or not.
Against All Grain
This is the first place I go to when I am looking for a recipe for dinner. Danielle Walker was diagnosed with a severe autoimmune disease and after years of trying medication, she began to heal herself by changing her diet. . Four cookbooks and one fantastic blog later, she is regularly featured in magazines and TV shows such as the Today Show, CNN and Fox News. I find her recipes easy to follow and have never made a recipe I don’t like. (Even my non-gluten free husband loves them). A few of my favorite include: Crockpot Mexican Soup with Cheddar Cheese Chips, Green Turkey Chili with Beans, and Chessy Baked Spaghetti Squash.Gluten Hates Me
Marlow’s blog was one of the first I found when I received my own diagnosis. Diagnosed with Celiac disease, she began her own blog as a way to cope with learning a new lifestyle. This is a great blog to read if you are recently diagnosed. It’s great to read her past posts and how she learned to cope. Additionally she shares recipes and fantastic product reviews. Most importantly, she recently gave birth to her first child and is a brand new Mom.Gluten-Free Goddess
Karina’s site can provide you with a cheat sheet on how to go gluten free, substitution tips, and fantastic dessert recipes. You could spend a few hours on this site looking going through recipes.Paleo Gone Sassy
I love this blog so much that I have every post sent to my email. If you are looking for inspiration in regards to changing your lifestyle and diet, this is the blog for you! Of course, these are only a few of the blogs that I follow and read. What I can guarantee is that each time a post comes through my twitter or facebook feed, I have to check it out. What each of these websites has taught me is that gluten free and paleo cooking is not only healthy but extremely delicious. It does take time to stock your pantry and learn the ins and outs of what to look for but in time, it becomes a regular routine.Do you have any favorite gluten or paleo blogs?
Though I do not have any allergies and have a major fondness for cheese (hello I live in Wisconsin) I am seriously going Paleo to help with both my thyroid condition and blood sugar. Thank you for sharing those links I will be checking them out soon!
Hi Krista, I have hypothyroid and it was only after I changed my diet that I truly started feeling better. I hope you will find some recipes that you like and enjoy. These are great places to start. I have to say I’m also a girl who loves cheese and I can only imagine how it is to live in Wisconsin. Good Luck with your diet changes.
Nom Nom Paleo is my favorite source for recipes these days
I love that site and haven’t been on it in awhile! I need to go check it out.
I love Gluten Hates Me!
It’s one of mine too!
Glad to hear that you are doing better with the dietary modifications….I’ll have to check out these blogs!
The recipes are great even if you aren’t wanting to go gluten free or paleo.
I don’t think I have heard of any of these – thanks for sharing!
I think you will really like them. Let me know if you try any of the recipes.
I’ve never read any of these but I look forward to checking them out! I have cut out most gluten and dairy… I’m not necessarily allergic, I just feel better when I cut them from my diet. We get burned out, too, so I’m excited for these resources! Thank you!
It’s amazing how you begin to feel when you cut out processed food (and sugar). I hope you like some of these.
