Hello September! Is it really time for you to be here again?
As I look back at August August, I feel that I was able to begin some new organization in my life. I’ve prepared for the classes I will be teaching this fall, reworked my workout routine and begun to prepare for additional trainings I will be presenting. I should also state I’ve begun to reorganize my closet and donate/take for consignment clothes that no longer fit or I haven’t worn.
The perfectionist in my struggles in feeling that I have never accomplished enough but writing out what I have accomplished helps to create a “Proof” list for me. If there are days in your life that you feel you have accomplished nothing, I highly suggest you take a daily calendar and write down each task that you complete even include the tasks such as make the bed and wash the dishes. Each of these things are an accomplishment.
As I look at September, here are a few things I would like to accomplish over the next 30 days.
Blog Goals
This little space will be getting a redesign. I’ve debated about moving to WordPress and eventually may take that step but for right now I am redesigning (with the help of someone lovely and wonderful).and staying with blogger. I plan to categorize my posts and create new series along with redoing pages. However, I never want to be a blogger that writes too much in advance. For me the best posts are ones that come from the moment or what I need to share. I never want to get away from that.
Work Goals
I am in a holding pattern in regards to my private practice but I am hoping to have great plans to announce this month. I’ve set a schedule for days which are strictly for teaching and days which are for counseling. My hope to always have Fridays as my personal day. It will be a challenge to not let tasks bleed into other days but I will need to do this for self care.
House Goals
A change in seasons means it times to redecorate the house. I shared my summer decorations with everyone and have to admit I am always a little sad to put everything up. However, as James pointed out I’m not the type of girl who wants to keep summer decorations out into fall. Plus, I do love my collections of pumkins. Stay tuned for a house tour.
Personal Goals
I want to continue my new workout routine. Last week I was able to work out 4 days and I hope to continue that on a weekly basis. The truth is I DO feel better and I need to have exercise in my life.
I want to create a more established dinner menu. With our schedules, James and I will need to think in advance in regards our plans for dinner. We’ve developed the habit of eating out too much and need to think about eating at home.
Take some time to think about your own goals and wishes for the week and month. Then take some time to link up with Melyssa and others who are creating goals on a regular basis.
Happy September!!!!

I just redesigned my blog, too! It’s a task, but worth it in the end! Best of luck this week!
Pumpkins! I’ve been lamenting summer’s quickly approaching end, but I forgot about all the pumpkins. Fall is my favorite season afterall 🙂
I have to admit the pumpkins do make me happy! I bought a new one for the front porch at Kroger last night!!!
I’ve been thinking about moving from Blogger to WordPress but rather clueless as to what’s involved! I love your suggestion about writing down your accomplishments, no matter how small – I’m always beating myself up about not achieving anything, yet I’ll have worked my socks off all day! Good luck with all your goals 🙂
