Friday Loves & What You Need to Read
Has this week seemed awkward for you? Even though it has been a normal workweek, I found it hard to keep up with the days. Friday came much quicker than I expected (which I suppose is a good thing). If you feel the same way, remember to take time to slow down and appreciate the day and week – life goes by way too quickly.
On that note, today I’m linking up with Meagan for Blogger Love and sharing a few of my favorite posts from the week.
Let’s Dance
Do you remember a time in your life when you simply did something because you liked doing it. Nina’s example of how a child often dances with simple joy -not caring that their movements are all over the place resonates with me. There have been so many things in my life that I have stopped doing because I felt I would be judged or wouldn’t be perfect. What are the reasons you have stopped dancing and enjoying the world? Are You Afraid to Take Risks ? (you might be braver than you think)
We take risks in many different ways and I love that this post on Best Kept Self discusses there is no right or wrong way to take risks. After reading this, I am certain you will be able to come up with a list of risks you have already taken in your life.Therapy Isn’t Just for the Mentally Ill
As a therapist, I feel it is so important for there to be conversation in regards to counseling/therapy and reasons for seeking help. Many people seek out counseling not due to a severe mental illness but to deal with daily stressors, seek assistance in making life decisions and for general support. I’m so proud of Diana for sharing her personal story and helping to end the stigma.Your Content is Worthy
There are many articles and posts sharing what bloggers/freelancers and every other profession should and should not do. Lindsay has written such a meaningful post in regards to recognizing that what you want to write about is significant. Authenticity is significant in blogging and writing in general. Stop letting others dictate what you are sharing. Be yourself! How to Build a Pinterest Following for Your Blog
If you are needing some inspiration and guidance in improving your Pinterest following, Chelsea has provided all of the steps. I feel like this is a great resource, well written and deserves to be pinned!I’m excited to have a wonderful guest post for tomorrow’s Self Care Saturday – don’t forget to stop by!
