A Kentucky Lovely!

As a Kentuckian, I struggle with the stereotype that some in the country have of those that live in my beautiful state.  Kentucky is a beautiful state with intelligent, educated and creative individuals. Throughout my time in blogging, I’ve been fortunate to connect with wonderful bloggers creating incredible content and many of them are Kentucky blogger living close to me.  I feel it’s important to share their work and words whenever I can.

Today, I want to introduce Lindsay from Bourbon, Lipstick and Stilettos. She combines her love of beauty with smart and intelligent commentary on important issues such as women’s health and finding one’s voice. I’m almost certain I fell in love with her blog title before I even read one post.  After spending some time with her, you will discover why she is a Kentucky Lovely. Can you share how long you have been a blogger and the meaning behind your blog’s name? I’ve been blogging since January of 2014. I started knowing NOTHING. I initially called my blog “The Princess and the Pea” but changed it to something more original, and, non coincidentally, my three favorite things. 😉 How does your work differ from others? I think my work differs because I’m a beauty blogger that also talks about tough issues like women’t health and body image. There may even be some politically-minded posts in my future. I am not a one-dimensional person and want my blog to capture my personality. What three words describe you? Passionate, dedicated, competitive What three words describe your blog? Welcoming, bold, product-obsessed What three posts do you feel a first time reader should read?   What goals or dreams do you have for yourself and your blog in the next year? I’d love to use my blog to build a freelance business. Ultimately I’d love to work from home. I’d also like to develop a better editorial schedule and meet new bloggers. When you have 30 minutes of down time, how do you spend it? What’s that?! I love taking baths, drinking wine, reading, and watching tv. Or I’ll spend that entire 30 minutes scrolling Instagram and Twitter… Quick Round Questions:
