Adult Coloring Books

Coloring is one of several items I suggest to clients who are struggling with anxiety. I was extremely excited to see this NBC news segment on the stress release that is found in coloring. In fact, coloring books for adults are quickly selling out and some can be found on Amazon’s Top Seller list. You can find sample mandalas to download here.  If you haven’t sat down to color lately, I encourage you to try it again. https://youtu.be/EwmDx6gnYew

The Price of Nice Nails

This article from the New York Times investigating the New York City nail salon industry will make you think and possibly reconsider where you have your nails done. Sadly, it was found that many workers do not receive wages, tips are often withheld and often must pay to work in salons. Although I believe this doesn’t happen everywhere, I feel we all must be responsible in where and how we spend our money. I am fortunate enough to have a wonderful friend who is a small business owner. I know the care she puts into her work and that she receives the money I pay her.

I love coloring as an adult. I have an adult coloring book and I love it. I also really like to make my own designs too (I like very geometric shapes!)

I love the geometric shapes – it’s so soothing to spend time simply placing the colors.

I love that quote! And YES to coloring. I have been wanting to start doing it myself.

Isn’t that quote the greatest. I think we’ve all felt like it. Pull out one of your daughter’s coloring books and give it a try!

Coloring works wonders! I love to paint, draw, and color; I can instantly feel myself calm down. It’s nice to fight versus flight 🙂

Thank beautiful lady! Research is showing the true effects of coloring with heart rate and blood pressure being decreased after only a few minutes! I’m so making this salad this weekend. Have a great weekend!

I love that so many adults still have this as part of their life. One is never too old to color!
