Over the years within our group of friends, we have developed a pattern of different couples hosting events and parties. Since we moved into our new home, a Super Bowl party has become one of our events.
A few weeks ago, I had found several decoration ideas and a few fun ideas to have at our party. If you follow me on Pinterest, you will find a whole new board. Despite my best intentions I didn’t get some of the decorations I had planned to buy and had to improvise with things we had around the house. (I’m counting this as some of my creativity for February). I found this idea and did have things around the house to make a football field out of our island and stove.

A few months ago, in a moment of purging my house, I donated several of our football theme items I have used in the past for party decorations. I knew that we needed more than a football field and came up with this idea of a field goal.
I used our regular skewers and tied them together to create a goal post. I wasn’t sure what to sit them in and James had the idea of using a few of our apples which were beginning to get soft.
We had an assortment of food, ranging from chicken tenders fries and mini corn dogs from Buffalo Wild Wings, to meatballs, veggies, cookies and this fantastic mini dip that my friend Tammy made.
Seriously, not only is it CUTE to look at (we decided to add a chip to each one) but it is absolutely yummy. I highly recommend it for any party.

| It just looks like we drank – the weather was so bad that no one did! |

The weather started to get bad during the first half and many had to leave early (thus not pictures of everyone). Nonetheless, it is always good to spend a few hours with people that you care about. Although decorating can be fun and enhance the experience, never turn down a get together just because you don’t feel like you have the right things to entertain with.

It was a great party!! I loved the decorations, the food and most of all the hostess(and host) LOL!!!
And I loved having you there!!!
That looks like a great party! Love how you decorated the table!!
Thanks Jenny
Thanks Jenny,
It was a PInterest Idea – of course, they suggested using white masking tape and doing numbers but I had neither – so the lines are actually seam holders that you iron on when a seam comes apart. It’s all about being creative!
That football field idea is genius! I might be “borrowing” it next year 🙂
I hope you will borrow it! It’s so easy and fun.
