Weekly Wishes # 2

The Nectar Collective

I’m happy to be connecting for my second edition of Weekly Wishes, a weekly link up created by Meylissa of The Nectar Collective.. The purpose of this link up is to share your goals, challenges or wishes for the week or month. I’m happy to report that (as I thought it might), it did help to create a list for the past week.

Wishes Update:

Here are a few of my wishes and goals for this week:

1. Complete Stock Information for my Mom’s Estate:  I was able to gather all of the information, have documents properly certified and placed in the mail last Monday

2. Complete my Journal Writing Training:  I am still scheduled to present a CEU Training on Therapeutic Journal Writing for the Professional and Client  on February 28. I did begin to recreate some of a past PowerPoint (I lost it on my hard drive from work). I still have many more slides to create and to place everything together but I STARTED!!!

3. Exercise:  I met my goal of working out 3 times this week – cardio twice and weights once. Wish I had been able to do more but at least I met the goal.

4. Gather our tax information: Information is gathered and the next step is in James hands!

5. Back to completely Gluten and Dairy Free: I’m struggling with this more than I have in the past. I’m not sure if it is stress related or the exact cause but I still have bits of gluten and dairy sneaking in (for example going out to eat). Of course, there was Valentine’s Day.

Wishes for the Week:

1. Getting Through The Week: If you follow my posts, you know this week is the anniversary of Mom’s death (Wednesday). I’ve been doing my mental countdown of the days. I do not fear the day but realize I need to take care of myself this week. By the way, I know I’m going to get through it! šŸ˜‰

2. Support My Friend:

A dear friend suddenly lost her husband this weekend and his visitation and funeral will be this week. All of this happening during this time frame isn’t easy for me. However, she is my friend and I will do whatever I can do to support her. I may see her before the visitation and funeral.

3. Practice Self Care

My self care this week includes:
Make a decision regarding attending the visitation and funeral – I knew I wouldn’t be able to go if either was on the anniversary date but now feel I can go. For self care, I know I should only plan to go to one.
Getting a Massage – I have this planned for Wednesday
Taking an afternoon to do nothing – Not something I am good at but needed.
Spend some times with friends – I was able to spend some time this afternoon and hope to plan more time during the week.
Work out – Exercise is therapeutic and I truly need to make time for something this week

4. Finish Journal Presentation
I can’t ignore the fact that I have to complete everything – thus, I putting it on the list.
Here’s to a Good Week and Wishing you Luck on your own wishes.

It sounds like you have quite a rough week on the horizon. I can see that you have plans in place to help yourself through what will obviously be a difficult time for you, but I’d still like to wish you all the best.
