Weekly/Monthly Wishes Link-Up

The Nectar Collective

Although it is still technically March, I wanted to use today as the time to review my intentions for March. If you are not familiar, this is a wonderful link up that Mel from The Nectar Collective has created. It is a spot where you can share your weekly or monthly wishes. I am finding it easier to go on a monthly basis. Each month, I follow the intentions I set for myself in this January post.

1. MY WORD OF THE YEAR

My goal is to say hello to new opportunities/activities and anything else that may come into my life this year. Because of this intention, this month I agreed  to be a presenter for  CEU trainings for that are  needed during the Fall. I had a lot of reasons why I shouldn’t – I may have a job where I can’t do presentations, I don’t know if I want to travel etc. etc…. I kept coming back to knowing I wanted to say Hello to what is placed in front of me. I have my word of the year to thank for agreeing to this opportunity. Looking forward to what April has for me to say Hello to.

2. HEALTH, FITNESS AND DIET I am still not where I want to be in regards to cooking. Honestly, I haven’t even looked for many new recipes. My goal for April is to continue improving our diet with more gluten and diary free food. We have considered going completely Paleo but haven’t taken the full step. Fitness wise I have been successful in continuing to work out on a regular basis. My goal for April is to change some of my workouts, get outside now that it appears the snow may be gone and perhaps to talk James into more hiking. Health wise, in April I am scheduled to have tests for more food allergies. I am eating healthy but still feel there is inflammation in my body. My doctor feels I may be sensitive to something healthy – watch me be allergic to Kale or apples. 3. MAKE TIME FOR BEING CREATIVE This month I created two self care  boxes for my friend and her daughter. I also  posted some pictures on Instagram of my spring decorations outside. For April, I hope to make a few new wreaths, perhaps start planning flowers to be planted for May. 4. MAKE TIME FOR PLAY (or Brain Candy) For most of March I haven’t felt that well – blame the weather, silly virus that keep going around. Nonetheless, I haven’t played like I would like to. However, I found that my brain candy has been laying on the couch watching reruns of Criminal Minds or Law and Order. Sadly, the reality shows have been getting on my nerves. Hoping to play some more in April and hoping it will be outside.

5. MAKE TIME FOR FRIENDS Everyone has been either busy or sick during March. However, I spent a great day with a friend in Cincinnati to see Wicked and have been able to schedule some lunch and coffee dates. March has simply been an off month in every area for me. Needing to spend more time with friends in April. I continue to feel that having set these intentions is helping me each month. By keeping them, I feel I am having a more balanced life and when I’m not well balanced it’s because one of these intentions isn’t being month. Here’s hoping for a great April.

I love that you have a goal to spend time being creative! That’s so awesome. And time for friends . . . I find that’s one that is so easy to take for granted.

Over the years I’ve found if I don’t place certain things on my schedule, it certainly will not happen. Just met up with a friend today and I hadn’t seen her in over a month. Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for stopping by Kayli – I’ve found that making sure I make plans to be creative is often the only way I will be creative!
