Finding Beauty Link Up

A few weeks ago, I had only photographs to show that I had taken as I was stopped at a stop light or parked. Another blogger commented that my photos had inspired her to begin taking more random photographs of her everyday life.  Her comment was inspiring to me as I do try to find gratitude (and beauty) each day.

The wonderful and beautiful thing about the above photograph is where it was taken. This is in the back of a strip mall of stores in the Hamburg area of Lexington, Kentucky. Centered between a cell phone store and Chipolte, a hair salon has created a beautiful spot outside of the back door.  This is proof that you can make any place beautiful – even a parking lot with no green space.

You may be asking what is beautiful about a bunch of tents. This is the week where University of Kentucky fans camp out to receive tickets for the first University of Kentucky men’s basketball PRACTICE. Otherwise known as BIG BLUE MADNESS. Yes, people have been camped out since Monday. This is only one part of tent city. It’s fun to see the passion and to be a part of such tradition. (By the way, I will not be going to Big Blue Madness but will be watching on TV).
This final photo is a sneak peak from a post coming next week. These leaves were found in one of my Mom’s books. They were in perfect condition and beautiful colors from my childhood home.
Don’t forget to  stop and see the beauty in your daily life. Also, take some time to join Aimee and others in this wonderful link up.

I love taking photos to remember things and to just focus on things I enjoy. Thanks for sharing the link-up! I’ll have to check it out and join. 🙂
